About the Abbey Hotel

 

The Abbey Hotel is a traditional Inn offering a quiet ambience with no juke box, pool table or darts board.

Social chatter and lots of banter  is our only music !! .

We have a main bar with a restaurant area,  2 function rooms,  and a  separate breakfast/ dining room,

7 en-suite letting rooms,  a lovely beer garden and a car park.

We love dogs here and have a lot of  customers who bring their dogs in , 

 but our furry friends must be kept on leads .

 

We host a very popular quiz every Sunday night .

 

  Romsey Male Voice Choir meet with us weekly for practice on Monday evening.

Romsey Test Rotary Club meet on Wednesdays.

Romsey Lions meet once a month also on a Wednesday.

Jazz Guitar club meet once a month on a Tuesday evening

plus many other groups that meet with us or just pop in for drinks after their meetings.

 

Every  July we have the Beggars Fair , a fantastic free day of  music and dance.

Next years Beggars Fair is on   Friday 9th July( evening only ) and Saturday 10th July 2010.

Oh, and then there are our greyhounds ......

Treasure , Lulu & Micky are  our  retired greyhounds who live in the pub with us ,

 you may see them at the end of lunchtime or evening .

 Treasure very kindly  helps to dig the garden !!!

December 2009 :~ Micky is awarded  POOLE GREYHOUND VETERAN OF THE YEAR 2009.
